Government's role in the economy
Over the last 10 years our nation has had a huge economic problem. Ever since 9-11 we have struggled to thrive. We handled that situation about as poorly as is possible, and far worse than any situation has been handled in the history of the world. Many people no longer like George W. Bush's predecessor because of extracurricular activities, but they all seem to forget what our economy was like before he was replaced. Our economy was booming and we had no national debt. We, in order to thrive, need to increase taxes and use that money effectively, we need to pay off debts and learn when and how to go to war. I assume that we have learned that tax cuts during war(even if they won't officially call it that) is an awful idea. When voting people need to learn to vote for what is best, not who is most like them. With George W. Bush it is clear that a majority of people did the latter and in effect cost this nation trillions of dollars. We need to follow Bill Clinton's economic plan from the 1990s.

Racism in America
Our Country has always had a racism problem, looking back we are all able to acknowledge everything that was done to discriminate against people because of color is wrong. We were able to slowly take strides forward and now there is much less harm done to people because of their race. However while I fail to see much discrimination in today's world it seems that most African-Americans seem to feel discriminated against. DuBois was a huge help in the many civil rights steps that happened in the early twentieth century. He helped to make more steps on a large scale to help African-Americans, but he did not perfect our racism problem.
